"The diversity in this school is wonderful, not only in range of ethnic backgrounds and religion, but also in the individual interests of students. While the school is primarily known for its music program, there are also other programs in which students can find their niche. The media program has been doing great this year, winning both national and state awards, the yearbook team took 1st place in the state this year, much of the state's HOSA executive council are students here, and this school has over 20 sports teams, of which many have taken state championship titles this year. While it is easy for a student to find their place here, it has its fair share of school drama, and news travels fast, not to mention the staff often seem like they can't be bothered with such matters. Despite this fact, the Moanalua community is strong, and there's no doubt that there is a huge sense of family here, and there is honestly no other public school on the island that I would rather attend."

"As an upcoming Senior at MoHS, I can definitively say that I've grown as both a student and person thanks to the support of the teachers, staff, and the other students here. The students at Moanalua are overall very driven to succeed and prepare for their future for post-graduation. I've never met anyone during my three years here thus far that is rude or selfish; everyone is thoughtful and supportive of each other, and the parents are also active in supporting and volunteering at school events. Moanalua also encourages students to volunteer, the students always thank the parents and staff for their support, they thank their teachers for help, and even the teachers and staff actively thank the community and their students for their support and involvement. It's these small things about the people at Moanalua that make this school one the best in both academics and as the home of driven, diverse, and great role-models."

"I love the teachers that teach at my school. They really put effort in caring and having that one on one relationship with each student. The teachers care about if you don't get something they are very patient and will explain in a different way."

"I love the diversity at this school. Moanalua provides countless opportunities for their students to grow from extra curricular activities, a multitude of AP courses, and the caring staff and teachers that make everything possible. But above all, Moanalua's music department will always have a special place in my heart. The hospitality you receive make you feel as if you're apart of one big family. Their focus is geared towards being better people for the world and how the influence of music can change many lives. Moanalua is definitely a gem and I'm incredibly grateful for all the relationships, lessons, and memories it has given me throughout my four years here. If there was something I could give my two cents on, it would probably be the students' ability to give feedback to the administration so that they can make decisions that will definitely be in our best interest."

"I like Moanalua High School especially because of all the classes that it offers to the students. It has seven different types of language like Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German, and Hawaiian. It also have different levels of classes. I also really like the campus because its always really clean and there's a tons of clubs to join and learn new things."
