"Cottage Grove High School's building itself was semi new when I began attending. I had moved to this school from another state and I had a surprisingly easy time adjusting to a new school. The teachers always wanted the best for students and always helped us succeed. The athletics were amazing also, and those who didn't do sports were great at helping out with the school spirit at games. Overall a great school to attend."

"Cottage Grove High School has a diverse, well-rounded, and welcoming atmosphere. People seem to accept each other for the most part and the teachers genuinely care about their students."

"It's a really good school. However, when it comes to sports versus other activities; and even boy sports versus girl sports, there is a very high amount of favorite-playing done by the administration. For the most part to be popular or to get funding for your activity, your activity has to be a sport; not an academic club; not an activity in the arts. One example comes from last year. The football team is way over-bugeted, but when; in the music department, the heater was out and there was a massive hole in the ceiling, the heater and ceiling weren't fixed until after winter. Now, let me bring up the girl sports versus boy sports thing. Boys ALWAYS get treated better in this school. They get the funding. Meanwhile, girls in girl sports have to work their butts off, so that they can have enough funding."

"Overall a pretty good school. At first it seemed like the sports kids got all the attention but after a change in staff things improved. Teachers started to show interest in all their students. They would help individuals who were struggling, providing extra time to them and after hour meetings."
