"Wahkiakum High school is a great fit for students who like a close-knit culture. Very small school with a positive atmosphere. Always encouraging students to become involved in extracurriculars. The teachers are always available to help with anything. Offers College Readiness courses in English and Math only. Small school= less opportunities. Not many clubs or electives are offered. Being different, belonging together is the school motto and it respectfully stands by that motto."

"The whole school is integrated; it is hard to tell a freshman from a senior, and vice versa. No matter the grade level, everybody works toogether. We have classes with kids of all grade levels. There are also a lot of extracurricular activities to choose from; there is something for everybody, no matter their experience or grade level. Something that needs changed is we need more school spirit. Hardly anybody comes out to cheer for the sports. Also, it would be nice to have more class options. Because of our size, are options are very slim."

"The main thing that makes me dislike my time at this school is the quality of the education I received, particularly in math. A majority of students at Wahkiakum high school struggle to learn math from the current teachers. Students have voiced their concerns, but not much can be done. I feel that my lack of math education will put me at a disadvantage later in life. When I take the actual education out of my experience, I liked my time at Wahkiakum high school. The small town environment brings close, lifelong friends. Everyone knows everyone, and the students are supportive of one another."

"Teachers in the math department are very knowledgeable, but have trouble converting their knowledge into something that students can understand. The meth is more rehearsed rather than taught. The English teachers do a good job of teaching and incorporating various aspects that will help the students later in their education. The science teacher is very interested in science, and brings in his own knowledge and experiences into the lessons to help students understand."

"Great, supportive teachers, and friendly classmates! Wish they had more classes that I could take but I know they are trying to improve that very much."
