"A majority of the staff is entitled are more worried about their payment than the students they're teaching. I believe exchanging some staff for new teachers so they were more caring and passionate about their work would help the motivation in the school."

"I think one of the best things about Mark Morris is the emphasis on community involvement. One of the traditions there is the Civil War Food Drive. Mark Morris leadership and sports teams partner with our sister school- R.A. Long, to help raise donations and food items/supplies for our local food distributor CAP. We spend January and February organizing walk-and-knocks, food drives, and setting up food donation bins in local food grocers. Mark Morris also puts emphasis on recognition of sports and clubs. The entire month of may is dedicated to something called "prides of May". Each of the four weeks in May is dedicated to something different: Academics, Athletics, Activities, and Arts. During each of these weeks, events and activities are put on to celebrate achievement in these areas. Along with these, we have dances like TOLO, Winterball, and Prom that are fun and enjoyable for students. Overall, students at Mark Morris are okay. The large majority of students that are heard are the students that are involved in everything, and that are honestly- pretty popular. However, most of the students at Mark Morris are accepting. Overall, I would choose this school just because of the superb community involvement and leadership program."

"Mark Morris is an okay high school. I say this because there are certain aspects of the school that are fantastic, but others are, well, not so much. Teaching at Mark Morris could be described as average. There are a few teachers I could name that go above and beyond to help their students, inside and outside the classroom, but as with all schools, there are some teachers that just want the day to be over as soon as it begins. Teachers generally explain content well, but most of the time, their lessons do not relate to the real world, and it is difficult to envision skills that are learned there will be applicable in the future. There is a certain lack of intimacy in the classroom setting that almost makes it feel like you're in a hospital. Teachers at Mark Morris do not put in a real effort to get to know every student- only ones that appear on the football or cheer team. As far as the consistency in grading, nearly every teacher is different. Some are very strict, limiting the extra credit available, where others offer it for the best behavior or skills such as public speaking. There is one other issue; teachers and faculty at Mark Morris do not wholly support every extracurricular activity that takes place there. Sometimes, you'll hear teachers talking negatively about one sport or club, and describing how advisers for that club could do better. There is also a significant amount about talking bad about other teachers in general. Overall, if Mark Morris needed to improve in one area overall, it would definitely be school unity and ability to be inclusive."

"Over all it was great. There were very few and very minor things I would change but I would definitely do it all the same next time and miss it more than I thought I would!"
