"I came to the school during a tense time in my life. Going to a new school on top of that was pretty tense. The only person I knew there got expelled a week after I came. I was terrified and shy and awkward, having barely started my teen years. I honestly am not sure whether if I could go back in time whether I would go to the same school. The people I've met there have changed me for the better in some ways and the worse in others. All I know is I wouldn't be me if I hadn't gone to this school. Academically, I've never really been challenged at this school, but I'm not sure I would've been challenged at any other school either."

"We have a very big international program. Of the 6-12th grade population, about 50% are Chinese, but they are all in 9-12. Now, I understand English isn't their first language, and that as other languages go, it's very hard to learn, but from the rest of the student body's perspective, it seems like they're not even trying. It often seems that the teachers cater to them and typically ignore when they cheat unless someone explicitly points it out. The Americans cheat too, no lie, but when we cheat, it's not on every assignment all the time, it's once in a while. Not a good excuse, but it bothers our student body. Most of the classes are dumbed down from what they should be to make the classes easier to pass. Also, more than a few teachers seem less than qualified to teach. There's at least 1 teacher I have who desperately needs to retire. Overall though, it's just average. It could be better no doubt, but it could be worse too."

"We have a lot of foreign exchange students, and it's pretty great. Most have good English already, and out native speakers help those who need it. There isn't really peer pressure, except to play certain iPhone games (Flappy Bird, I'm looking at you). We're pretty accepting, but there are things that aren't tolerated. I don't know that anyone has a divergent sexual orientation, but I don't know how it would be handled if we did."

"The academics are okay. It's easy to get all A's if you work for them, but not everyone does. The main subjects- science, math, English and social studies- are good, but extra classes- foreign language, arts, etc- are a little lacking. (I haven't had art at this school, so I don't know much of it, but I had foreign language. We use Rosetta Stone, which works for some, but not others.)"

"Each teacher is unique, but after being here for at least a couple of months, it's easy to tell each's teaching and grading style. Most teachers go over the homework and help when a student has problems, teach in a manner that is easy to understand, and are very knowledgeable in their respective fields."
