"The students are okay. most of the teachers are adept for teaching. AP and honors is available. What i would like to see change is more college and career planning in Fall Junior or even Spring Sophmore year instead of senior year alone. More mandatory, or monthly meetings with the advisor/counselor, so that students are more confident and have a goal set upon entering higher education. Or, like me you can be an idiot and waste years and pay big tuition trying to figure out what you want to do when you should be doing that in high school."

"It's a public school so you don't expect much. Overall the problems that occur is the lack of after school activities besides sports, the lack of renovation, the lack of understanding faculty, terrible and overpriced lunches and small classrooms."

"At BGHS, there are many resources to help students do well in school, such as the Literacy Lab or Saturday School. In my case, I have struggled to perform well until I found a solid group of friends and pushed myself to my limits. However, the students generally lack enthusiasm or motivation to do well. This may be due to class and racial divisions, which are never talked about in the monthly Harbor discussions. These discussions are supposed to create conversations about bullying, but the students who need to hear the message don't listen. The bathrooms are also unkept, with issues such as stalls which locks don't work and a toilet which sprayed water every time it flushed. However, when looking at the overall academics and opportunities for hardworking students, BGHS had much to offer."
