"Very good teachers and education. Everyone who attend school tends to be rich, republican and WASPY. but each student will receive a good education and opportunities not presented at other schools"

"It's a small school that is lacking in a lot of departments. There have been severe budget cuts in the state of New Jersey, and the art programs at this school were the first to go. BHS spent and continues to spend a vast majority of their funds on sports, but completely neglect to support the art programs. I was in the concert and marching bands, and even my middle and elementary schools played better. There was almost no diversity in this school. 99% of the student body is upper class Vineyard Vines clad preppy white kids who don't accept anyone different. A lot of the teachers were either excessively strict for no reason, hated their jobs and had zero interest in the classes they were teaching, or just treated us like children. I got suspended for going to the bathroom when the teacher said no. I am so glad I graduated and never have to come back to this miserable place ever again. I don't miss the tiniest bit of my high school experience."

"The school provides challenging courses to its students, but the environment is very competitive. Students have a tendency to burn themselves out before college by taking too many higher level classes in addition to sports and clubs. The focus is very much on college admission here."

"Bernards High School is a great school. Most students are involved in after school activities and sports. The overall spirit is great and the classes are decent."

"this place is a living hell. the teachers could care less about students. the halls reek of white supremacy and teen spirit. Even the nicest of people have a dark side. nobody cares about you. coaches are really mean and never give any positive reenforcement. I wake up every morning dreading to go. they are not preparing me for the real world, where not everyone wears vineyard vines and drives range rovers."
