"As an alumni of BHS my experience with the school may be different from more current students. With that being said, I found that the administration wasmore concerned with the school's athletic accomplishments rather than the academic preparedness of the students. Additionally money was often spent on cosmetic purchases to make the school look nicer, which is all well and good, but perhaps some of that money might also go toward purchasing new materials which the majority of students would have benefited from and would have provided a safer learning environment, such as new rubber tubing for the bunsen burners in the chemistry lab, as my class had more than one tube catch fire during labs due to the tubes being old and dried out."

"As with most schools - there are a few select teachers that make or break your high school experience. Bloomington HS has a few teachers that are excellent and who have the students future in mind as they prepare them for the next steps."

"The teachers at Bloomington High School as a whole do their job very well and then go even further. There are resources like the Math Lab which all of the math teachers contribute to and oversee, and many teachers individually stay after to help any students who may need help."
