"At San Diego SCPA, every student feels welcome because everyone there is so friendly. The whole environment of the school is awesome and we learn to balance our academics and arts. The only thing that I would say should be changed or improved is how not all majors are treated equally. Some majors get more field trips and things like that, but it's still a great school. The campus is also very diverse and nobody is put down. There are many clubs and after-school activities offered as well."

"I think in general it's a very welcoming school and the staff and teachers tend to be very nice. There's not a good balance between the performing and creative arts, though. Theater/musical theater is prioritized over every other major which sucks, cause you don't really always learn how to utilize your art...which is the point of the school."

"I've been at SCPA since I was a 6th grader and it definitely shaped me to become a more open minded and empathetic person. Because of the teachers at this school I continuously push my academic and musical limits as well as boosting my self-confidence and effort in any type of work I do. One thing I wish was improved is the emphasis on academics and equal prioritization of all arts majors rather than just one."

"Scpa has been a wonderful experience for it's diversity in students and in it's art department. Every student is required to have an art major, and thought it might sound odd at first, is it Scpa's main attribute. By having an art program, students are able to experience what they are interested in and are able to make friends from their discoveries."

"I have been a student at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts since the 6th grade (it is a 6-12 school) and while there have been high and low times during that period of time, I would not have wanted to go to any other school. San Diego SCPA has helped me grow so much as a person and a leader, as well as a diligent student and experienced performer."
