"Through out my four years at JICHS, I learned a lot of things about myself and about the world around me. There is a reason I am only giving it four stars. The class selection is rather impressive, with many AP and IB class options. The administration is helpful for the most part, but it does sometimes feel like they focus more on the rules than the education. We have lots of after school activities, including clubs and sports. Most teachers also offer after school opportunities. I do feel like the school does put more emphasis on sports, than arts but that's the south for you. Overall I would say it is one of the best school's in the county, will teachers who want their students to succed not just pass."

"James Island Charter was an overall good high school. It's not too big and not too small. They have a fairly wide variety of sports teams and clubs. The Academics are what you make of them. There are College Prep, Honors, AP, and IB courses offered. I took honors and AP classes and most of those teachers were great. The art department was great. The teachers were talented and kind. From what I saw and heard, the Spanish department is much easier than the French. If you want really learn a language, I suggest you take French. It is a lot of homework, classwork, and tests, but it was worth it."

"I really enjoyed a lot of the teachers and the academics taught within the school. If I were to change something about the school it would be the environment, the way the teachers go about discipline and communication between the students and faculty."

"James Island Charter High School is a great school that I have had the pleasure of attending. The teachers and the administrators are very helpful, and assure that we obtain our education on a safe and drug free campus. The school is filled with many activities and clubs to choose from. Since I've been a student enrolled at James Island Charter High School, I have had great experiences with the teachers, faculty, and students."

"The school had an excellent library and all the teachers were pretty good, with a lot of AP and IB classes offered. The IB program is suppose to be really good but personally I would go AP. It has a better art program than the School of the Arts (or so I've heard) and it's really good. There's clubs and a cool weight room too."
