"My experience at the High School for Public Service really took me by surprise. Coming into the school I was a bit frightened, but as years passed I became acquainted with the teachers and the students. Now I know that I can always rely on my classmates and my teachers for anything minuscule such as a little support or a pep talk before a speech. One thing I wanna see an improvement on is the communication barrier between the students and the teachers. If the teachers took some time to listen to some reasonable students then certain would run a lot smoothly."

"Over these past few years I have grown as a person and I discovered who I am. My interests, my dislikes, my goals. I like the people and the friendships that I have made and the bonds I have formed. I like the fact that this school has many clubs and many opportunities to make a change in the community. I would have preferred if the lunch period was a little longer and if we had the opportunity to choose the classes we take based on the careers we hope to pursue in the future. I also wish that the students had a voice in what was going on at school both socially and academically."

"When I first started going to HSPS, I was content with my choice. However, within the first month, I discovered and started noticing the lack of resources in my school. My school is in need of more computers which students can use to get their "mastery" or their project done on time. We as students in HSPS have completed more than 90 masteries through our high school experience. My guidance counselor is very helpful and helps us in every way she can to make sure that we are college ready. My school consists of mainly of black and hispanic students, however those students are treated equally. We have over 20 security guards, all of whom make sure our school is the safest it can be during all hours of the school day. We have many sports in which the wrestling team stands out. Overall, my school is wonderful but I do believe there can be ways that it can improve. We should be able to use the computers when we want and not having to wait for our turn and the food should be good."

"I really like High School for Public Service: Heroes of Tomorrow. The school offers various activities like Farm Club, Track and Field, DC TV, Build On, and more. In addition, the teachers are amazing. They push students to do their best and they are always there after school to help us with everything we need. However, being a vegetarian in High School for Public Service is not easy, so one thing I would like to change in the school is to have more vegetarian options in the school cafeteria."
