"For how small the school is, we have a lot of elective classes to choose from as well as a ton of after school activities. All the teachers set you up for success and do their best to help you when needed."

"Southold has been my home for my entire school life, and I do enjoy it here. Although it doesn't have as many AP classes as I would have liked, the ones it did offer were rigorous and enriching. I have always liked the close-knit community and the relationships with the teachers. Everyone knows each other and that is both a blessing and a curse. Southold could stand a little more diversity, but the school is no different than the town itself in that regard. Most of the teachers are both nice people and good teachers, which is hard to find in many schools. Overall, I would recommend Southold to parents and kids who want a close community where the teachers and administrators listen to the students and parents."

"Southold is a small community, but that's what makes it great. Everyone knows one another and there is a great, close knit development between classmates. Teachers know their students, and cater their efforts to the needs of their students based on their academic progress."

"I loved going to Southold. It's small and comforting and what makes it unique is the quality of our drama club."

"Most of the teachers are very friendly and have interesting lessons. However, they are not always consistent with their grading."
