"Glen Burnie is making progress and the administration and teachers truly care about making the school a good place to be and preparing students to graduate and beyond. The school has over half of its population requiring free/reduced meals and used to suffer from poor graduation rates, but their focus has been on improving graduation rates and helping those students that would not have succeeded before - because of that focus, the students without problems don't feel the same attention, and school spirit is not the best."

"Glen burnie high school was a fun school to be at as we didn't do any work. That should probably change though."

"I attended Glen Burnie High School through the BMAH, biomedical allied health, program. I went into this program expecting new opportunities, but instead I got a completely different view of high school. I used to love school and Glen Burnie started to make me fear going to school. I was scared to go, I would beg my parents to put me into a different school and take me home. The restrooms were constantly covered in trash while students were smoking in them. Administration did NOTHING. One day I left my classroom early (I was walking my injured friend to her class, because of her injury, we got to leave 3 minutes earlier) I was attacked by another student in the hallway. It took administration 2 minutes to get the student off of me and into another classroom. Throughout the year there are tons of fights, too many to keep count. This school is super unsanitary, and lacks safety."

"Glen Burnie high school is the oldest high school in Anne Arundel County. It was interesting being introduced to the campus style building structure in high school which made it a lot easier when it came to college. The school is well gated and protected and is in great need of some school spirit. With more school spirit and school pride the school would have a better reputation."

"The school needs to be rebuilt again. The bathrooms are trashed, and the good teachers are leaving the school because they have not got a pay raise in six years. They barely give out scholarships to the black people in their community, so when it comes to money for the students they are not really diverse."
