"Overall the administration team was not well put together. Communication is a big part of a successful team and Waltrip failed to do so. The one thing that I did like was the amazing band. I have been apart of the program all 4 years and am currently the head drum major. This program helped to grow and shape me to be a strong, capable leader. It has helped to prepare for the real world by teaching me many valuable lessons and skills that I plan to apply after I graduate. This program is the only thing that kept me at Waltrip High School."

"I entered Waltrip Highschool because of the band program. I love music and have a strong passion for it. This school has alot of wonderful teachers and great activities to participate in. I always wake up and look forward to school because there's always something new to experience and learn. This school has come a long way through it's remodeling it makes it seem much more than what it is. My overall experience is great. One thing I would like to see change is the student population or the hallways. When it's time to switch classes there's a lot of students and there's not enough room for everyone especially while going up and down stairs you have to take precaution. Overall i really enjoy highschool."

"My current experience with Waltrip High school is very strange. This school seems to have no discipline in what they do, not to mention that they lack desire in what these teachers want the students to be. Teachers are no where to be found when we are need of them, and when we do find them, they can't seem to help us because they think we're just asking for answers when in reality, we literally don't know the answer. I, myself, still am a very serious, independent, ambitious student as I walk the halls of Waltrip, and I hope to be in the top 10 percent. Hopefully, with the help of the teachers and more so with the band that I am in, I aspire to be someone in this world."
