"Nimitz High School was definitely an environment that challenged you more so in a personal way than academic. If you were different than the typical student that goes there, it was very obvious. The teachers and staff could pick you out and from then on I guess you could say you were a " Chosen One". They guided you. They counseled you. They challenged you. Pushed you past your limits because they knew you actually were committed to your education and future. But the peer pressure surrounds you. One mistake and everything you worked for could be taken away from you. Nimitz was a school that taught you how to be your own individual if you utilized the opportunity correctly. Despite your environment you create your own way."

"Theres two types of people that go to this school. Theres the people who skip class because they're taking cheap college classes across the street, and there's people who just skip class. Its a pretty bad school to go to but it's worth going because of the Dual Credit program that lets high schoolers take actual college classes at the community college across the street."

"I graduated in 2014 and when I was going there some of the teachers you can tell they didn't really want to be there they really just wanted a check. I want to say maybe 4 out of 10 of the teachers and faculty members just really came there with that attitude, which I wasn't bothered because I just wanted my education so that I can move forward. What I enjoyed most about the school was the extra-curriculum activities. I was on the dance team, the flag team, and I participated in the sister and brotherhood Legacy. If there was anything that needs to be fixed within the school I would say better teachers that actually care and more discipline for the student that continue to not follow the rules, because it wasn't only just the teachers it was the students as well. Overall I feel like every student should not be punished for the 10 or 15 that the faculty members know are disruptive. I gave the school a 4 star because my junior and senior year was perfect. Everything went right for me."

"Nimitz High School is a place where it is hard to learn because of all the distractions that are around you. You have to tune out all distractions and stay focus on trying to do something with your life. That is my experience with Nimitz. I would change most of the rules at Nimitz to make it fun and also safe."
