"I came to Larchmont Charter School when I was in the 8th grade. All the students are very nice and diverse. It is very easy to make friends here because of the friendly environment. The teachers here are very knowledgeable of what they are teaching, although some teachers not as much. Larchmont Charter School is a school that is pretty new and is still growing. This doesn't mean Larchmont Charter does not have things that other schools have. We have sports, clubs, and a really good arts & drama class like other schools. Larchmont Charter is a good school and it's getting better."

"Although I dislike my school at times, I wouldn't rather be anywhere else. This school is culturally, racially and economically diverse, and nearly every student genuinely cares for their grades and their education. This school has a constructive, project-based approach to academics, which makes homework, tests and assignments much more helpful and enjoyable for the students. All of the teachers I've had have cared for their students, and are extremely accessible if any student has trouble understanding material. Over the past few years, our school has greatly evolved--we have new sports teams and various art classes. Of course we have lots more growing to do, and the campus isn't totally suited for a school, yet the academics and the tight-knit community certainly trumps many Los Angeles high schools."

"Larchmont Charter is a small but tightly knit school. Class sizes were relatively small and students had opportunities to meet one on one with teachers to go over course material. Its drawbacks were that it didn't have a great amount of resources for students and a lack of elective variety."

"Every school has both positive and negative qualities to it, for instance LCS. Since attending LCS at he start of 9th grade I haven't had a pleasant experience at all(disregarding the overall high school scenario). The school is truly unorganized-Students with disabilities aren't given the appropriate resources, and teachers don't accommodate them, exams all at once.People there are also very rude, including staff and admin, and most show sharp favoritism(even to the degree to favoring the Anglo peers).Although the school offers a variety of clubs during school hours, the clubs don't last long, something that affects me as a student because I can't put it on my college applications as I have to attend it for the entire year. Although facilities were clean at 1st, they now smell and lack paper, etc. I understand that no school is perfect, or even near it, but this isn't my first experience with the academics, and it pains me not to be a proud/true timberwolf, something I hope changes."

"I've been at Larchmont Charter for 10 years, and was part of the first graduating class. The teachers and staff are like family, but maybe that's most attributed to how small each class was. The school praises itself on diversity, and that's an accurate source of pride. As our cheesy mission statement says, Larchmont Charter is "...a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students with an exceptional public education." My brother is attending there now as a High School Freshman, so if I have any concerns, they're for him. Larchmont's mathematics throughout High School, for one, are comparatively lacking. As the school branched out beyond Elementary, resources began to thin; but before middle school, Larchmont was great, in my experience. However, the school is perpetually changing, and 10 years is a long time."
