"As a former student, the teachers in the AP courses were very good and knew what they were doing. I am content with all the teachers I had; however, a few friends of mine had less satisfactory teachers. There is little diversity. As an Caucasian and Asian, I often felt left out in social events. My small group of friends were all the other outcasts, the few caucasians and asians in my year."

"Hollywood Senior High School offers a broad variety of resources that help the student be prepared both academically as well as personally. The teachers and administration staff are more than open to stay over their working hours to help students succeed and be prepared for the next step. The student body is greatly involved in athletics and all the sudents are supportive to each other. If I could attend Hollywood High School again, I would in a heartbeat."

"I'm a senior at Hollywood High and personally i think that it is one of the best high schools in Southern California. It has a beautiful campus with many resources available to every student. To name a few there is: a swimming pool, full sized football field, dance rooms, computer rooms and many more."

"I am a junior in the School for Advanced Studies at Hollywood High and I know one of the unique aspects of my school is that it offers the conventional high school experience along with various programs meant to further student interest in their preferred field of study. Our JROTC program, dance studio, choir groups, clubs, child development classes, college preparatory and advanced placement classes, recording studio, theaters, and sports facilities are just a few examples of the diverse community Hollywood High is today. Considering the various financial obstacles faced by public schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District, Hollywood High has flourished past all expectations. I am personally satisfied with my experience so far in terms of my educational opportunities (and achievements), my school involvement, and my exposure to the arts. I believe I will be prepared to attend a prestigious university at the time of my commencement at the Hollywood Bowl."
