"I attended from freshman year to junior year. It's fairly easy to get good grades provided most subjects come easy to you. Alot of teachers don't believe in giving homework everyday. If they do, it's not at all cumbersome. The tests/work can sometimes be too easy it CAN (not always) seem insulting. Because of this, I wouldn't say our school is "College and career ready." Extracurriculars and sports are great. They offer many sports (golf, wrestling, lacrosse and field hockey are included) and across the board, the athletes do well. When it comes to clubs, we have a plethora of them. Administration here is a crapshoot. Fair warning: the attendance ladies are known to be slightly disrespectful at times, especially if you're truant. MOST teachers are pretty good. As an introverted black female, diversity EXTREMELY lacks. That's why I rated it 2/5. If you're not white, athletic and Christian, you probably won't have a ton of friends. P.s. - Lunch isn't great. Bring it if you can."

"South Oldham High School is a good school and were previously ranked as a top 10 school in the state. However, I did not feel like I was as prepared for college as a lot of other students were."

"Overall, my high school experience was positive. I joined marching band and wind ensemble which allowed me to make many friends as well as expand my knowledge of music. I also appreciated some of my later classes in high school specifically English 100/200 and AP Psychology. One of my biggest complaints about South would have to be the lack of diversity. In all my classes, I've probably had a total of 5 African American students in those classes with me. I wish my school was more exposed to different ethnicities and cultures. I also wish South prepared its students better for college as far as understanding the application process and what-not goes."

"It's been a great 4 years! I've had the best teachers and have always learned something new. I've enjoyed spending time at sports games and socializing with friends. I have met so many people and have really stepped out of my comfort zone. I really enjoyed the diversity in the different choices of classes. It made it easier to pick a class based on what I would like to learn about."
