"The school was well diverse. But the administration needs improvement as well as school lunches. The overall education experience lacked in my opinion because I feel like I didn't learn as much as I was suppose to. The college readiness is an average because it did teach us not to be late for class but high school allowed late work and college does not so by allowing that, students don't turn it work till the last minute."

"The positives of maricopa high school would be the family feel. The school is very welcoming and can make anyone feel comfortable, the negatives would be the basic level of education and lack of money brought into the school to fund for programs"

"The administration and teachers don't teach very well to get the students ready for college and I would love if they could fix that."

"I have a lot of friends and family friends who go to Maricopa High School. None of them have anything nice to say about it. Many parents here repeatedly claim: My child is not going to THAT school. It's got a bad rep. It is known for kids doing drugs. There are frequent lock downs from bomb threats and from cops finding drugs. There was a kid who had 3 notebooks full of people's names who he didn't like, and detailed explanations of why they didn't like that person, and how they were going to torture and kill them. Very nasty. Everyone agrees that they do not have very good academics. The only reason people send their kids to school there at all is because it is the only high school in that city. You either have to drive your kid 30 min. to get to a nicer, better high school, or put them in MHS (or homeschool, which is what my mom decided to do.)"

"When I was at Maricopa High School, it definitely had some good aspects, but still needed a lot of improvements. I was on the cheer team, which could've improved drastically. The level of involvement by students also really low."
