"Holmdel High School is an academically competitive environment where expectations are high for every student. A large majority of us have excelled and graduated with flying colors, and I myself have been more than prepared for college. The opportunities to take AP and college-level courses and receive college credit are also available to students. My only criticism of this school is that its culture, clubs, and diversity are lacking overall."

"HHS has a nice environment. While school spirit is lacking and the administration can often be unstable and frequently replaced, there is a big focus on culturing the individual. The school population is small at around 250 per grade, but the smaller class size means that everyone gets to know each other and is rarely lonely. However, since it is such a small school many classes and programs are unable to run unless they have the interest of many passionate students. Also, there is an implied feeling of wealth in the town. Many wealthy kids are able to treat money as no matter, which can be alienating for the less wealthy town families especially with things like expensive field trips. The team sports aren't amazing but individual sports tend to rank higher."

"The experience was average at best. The criteria to take honors or AP classes were stricter than other district schools. The teachers held extra help sessions only during lunch time, but did not have extra help sessions after school. This became a problem when my child had no free periods during the day, and only was available after school. In addition, the Guidance Department did very little to help in the college application process."

"Holmdel High School is a very good school. They offer a wide variety of sports, music, and arts. The principle is very accommodating to students that want to start new clubs."

"I love the academics at the school. They offer so many different classes that you cant take all of them. The people are also nice if you get the right ones."
