"I attended Carl Sandburg High School for three years (freshman to junior year). In my opinion I liked the classes the school was offering, there were many honors and AP class options. Teachers were very kind, offered their help to their students meaning they really cared about their students education. Beyond the teachers and the classes, the environment is very safe and friendly. Students got along with their peers, when I would walk through the hallway I would hear many of my peers saying hi to one another. Everyone accepted each other no matter their ethnicity or culture, there were no sign of bullying or that I've been informed of. Overall, my three years at the school was very worth while I really liked it and I recommend upcoming freshman to attend the school."

"If you go to Sandburg, people think that you're rich, because Sandburg is a big school. A few people think Sandburg is a mini society or a college. The bosco sticks are usually pretty good. What I want to change is how fast people walk in the hallways. If you have from the South building to North building in seven minutes with people are walking slow, you would want to push them out of the way but you don't and you could get a trady if your teacher sees you walking in a second after the bell."

"I love Carl Sandburg High School, this school offers me many activities and helps me discover new interests and people. The staff is always available to help, and I can tell that they all want me to be successful in school and in life. The activities such as clubs and music programs help me meet people with similar interests. There is an activity for every person to enjoy, and a variety of classes such as languages, social studies, and sciences to suit everyone's interests. The school schedule gives every student access to teachers help during the school day, it is a really helpful tool, and allows me to get extra help in areas I need help in. Despite it being an Illinois requirement, I wish gym class was not a requirement for all 4 years. I think it would be more beneficial for me to take other classes that interest me. My school offers so many amazing classes, even with taking a zero hour, I still do not have time to take all the ones that interest me."
