"Being at Washington has been great, it flew by really fast too. Now I can't believe I am going to be a senior. Most teachers are really nice and some go out the way to really help you. One thing that I would like to change would be the rule of not having AP classes for sophomores. I felt like it was a little unfair, especially when you know you are ready and prepared to take up an AP class."

"Consistency between teachers isn't the best, there are top tier teachers, and, to be honest, many classes, because of the teacher's teaching style, are too easy to pass (e.g.: no studying, little to no homework, little to no tests/quizzes, etc...). However, even so, many teachers are friendly and helpful, I believe, no matter which class you take. The students are also fairly friendly and open, but there are definitely distinct and identifiable cliques (like in any high school), like the popular sporty crowd, the drama and musical group, etc. Overall, I don;t have any other negative thing to say about this school. I do say that I wouldn't choose a different school to attend, though."

"Overall George Washington High is a good school because it prepares you and challenges you to get satisfactory grades not for easy work but for hard work in my experience . In George Washington High, I had an experience with an amazing English teacher who supported me to keep up with my English and may god bless him , but there have been teachers who seem to think they know what they're student should and shouldn't take and may god bless them too. I think it's the students choice to decide what class they want to take. The teacher is to support in any decision the student makes because a teacher is made to teach and find the best possible way to help the student feel safe , be challenged to do better, and give the student an heads up for what they may face in there challenging classes. Without challenge how would we grow in our education ?"

"High school forced me into a box that was incredibly difficult to get out of. I wanted to fit in and feel like I belonged somewhere that I pretended to be someone I wasn't. I thought I was happy with the way things were, but I wasn't. Moving on to college made me realize how much I don't miss my old self."

"Overall attending George Washington High School was a great experience for me. I especially liked the wonderful teachers at Washington. I felt like they really cared about their students and did their best to help us learn despite Washington's low school budget. Teachers were more than willing to help me with any questions that I had and encouraged me to visit and talk to them about it during lunch or after school which they don't get paid for doing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the culture of the school, it's very accepting of everyone and is incredibly diverse. Though this is a wonderful school, there are some aspects of Washington that I believe can be improved upon. As a public school, Washington doesn't have all the resources that it needs and depends heavily on fund raisers and the PTSA but due to a relatively low level of parent involvement, we are not able to fund raise enough or collect enough money from parent donations to buy everything that we need for our education."
