"Monte was my home for 4 years, like every school Monte Vista has its flaws but overall it was a great experience with an amazing staff. I Graduated June 8,2017 and I was sad leaving a place that was like a home to me. If i would have to change one thing would be to give students a little more liberty, we study and get good grades at least i did but when it came to liberty teachers didnt really gives us some. The teachers and staff were helpful in areas like college readiness but not as much om those who werent going to college. I have been planing on going to a four year ever since i knew what it was but i know a lot of friends who didnt think college was there thing and some counselors didnt know how to help them and i think that is a necessary change because more students will think college is not their path and shouldnt be forgotten about"

"Even though I've only been in Monte Vista for two years, I don't regret choosing this amazing high school. The teachers build a student and teacher relationship and can make a student feel that there's an adult at school that cares. The teachers also push students out of their comfort zones such as willing to stay after school for students who needs help or if the ap tests are near. The staff such as the counselors really hep students look for scholarships, classes that students will be interested in, and colleges that are best suited for the student. The diversity is also great since we have a lot of different ethnicity and cultures that each student offers which can be shown by all the clubs that this school has. For example, we have a poly club, a si se puede dance club, hip hop club, and many more."

"What I liked about Monte Vista High School was that it was very diverse and each student was treated equally and fairly. The school clubs and organizations made school life fun with the events that was put on. Also the school assemblies were fun to attend and watch. Everyone was helpful and positive."

"My experience at Monte Vista has taught me the importance of family. Some might claim that it's "ghetto", but I personally feel like it was perfect. It was very diverse and a place where anyone and everyone is accepted."

"The school is definitely revolved around who you hang out with and which people you truly surround yourself around. To truly focus yourself in school, I would suggest taking honors/AP classes in order to surround yourself with people with high ambitions. The school campus is small so it would feel a little cramped or claustrophobic at times. The athletics are D3, but our wrestling team is definitely a powerhouse in the district. Overall this school is great."
