"The High School for Environmental Studies is what I would call a very inclusive school. In my experience I would say that teachers and staff did an incredible job with preparing us for college since my freshman year. From my recent visits to the school I've noticed an immense change in staff, but the goal remains the same and that to prepare each student for life in and after college."

"It was a great place to become the person I am today, it taught me a lot and the most of the teachers are amazing at what they do, the rest suck."

"With an increased focus on the Music and Arts department, our school culture is more inclusive. There is an opportunity for every type of student but if we missed one, there is the support to create it. Students play the biggest role in what is happening before, during and after school. Most teachers are very personable and enjoy their subject."

"Starting out, I thought the school was strictly about science and math but over the years the schools dynamic has changed significantly in the diversity with extracurriculars, electives, and school events."

"High School for Environmental Studies allowed me experience diversity on a whole new level which I was previously unaware of. My high school experience also changed my outlook and taught me any things that I will carry over to my college career. However, I would like to see student and staff interactions change. I would also like more informed and tolerant staff and student body. In addition although our school is named High School for Environmental Studies we learn so little about the environment and I feel now is as important as ever to learn about it especially with our current president and administration. I would like to see this Environmental theme spand to very class so much so that when students learn a new topic no matter which subject they are automatically thinking of the environment. This last effects few but I think the cafeteria needs more vegan options but that is probably a state or federal issue."
