"Though I was fond of the teachers and administrators who worked at Campbell Hall, the school itself lacked diversity. I believe the school needs to make an effort to bring forth more diversity in order to make minority students feel like they "belong". In contrast, I loved the architecture and modern technology that Campbell Hall built and utilized. I also admired the fact that Campbell Hall did not force religious practices on students. Though this doesn't apply to me, Campbell Hall is an Episcopalian school that holds chapel services twice a week. All of my friends who did not participate the Episcopalian rituals were supported by the Campbell Hall community, including faculty and other students. Lastly, Campbell Hall had a great variety of classes that allowed students to create a perfectly suitable and personalized schedule. Overall, I had a good experience throughout my six years of attending Campbell Hall."

"I used to work at Campbell Hall for a long time and would not send my own child there even though she was admitted. If you are high up in the administration at this school, you either accept things as they are or you don't get asked back to work there. I used to always ask myself who was really in charge there because the degree to which the leadership is allowed to do whatever they want regardless of if they are good people, treat employees well, or do right by the school, is unreal. It's a pretty widely known fact among private school employees that Campbell Hall is not a good place to work. I stayed for over five years because I learned how to play the game and I learned not to get on the bad side of leadership. I watched many good employees not get to return because they tried doing the right thing."

"This school has tremendous potential but has real issues that go unaddressed year to year. If you look on their website and just see who sits on the school board, you can begin to guess the range of issues. There is very little diversity of gender and race, little to no engagement between the board and current parent population. There are 3 women and 1 person of color out of 15ish people that sit on the board. The second major issue is that the parent association has very little real voice in important matters of the school. The leadership of this group is selected by school administration, not other parents, and so there is a conflict of interests when it comes to truly addressing issues."

"Besides the academics being on a higher level than schools some of my close friends go to, Campbell Hall is a school that although is known for its proficiency in arts, has really turned around with its impact in athletics. As a current member of their varsity Cross Country and Track teams, I can confidently say that this school can produce the most talented version of yourself in anything you pursue. Looking at these rankings, I see that we are behind schools like Crossroads, Brentwood, Windward, and Poly. These schools are all incredible, and I wish to take nothing away from them, but we easily beat all four in Cross Country for the first time last year, and plan to do so again in the fall of 2017. This is only one small aspect of each school, but still a perfect example of how Campbell Hall, a school that pumps out musical prodigies and is the home to teachers with grammy nominations, is now turning around and out-performing elite schools in (at least some) athletics."

"Campbell Hall is very committed to its title of a "college prep school" and so, it has very strong academics that challenge the students to work at a high level. Many of the teachers are very good and care about the students. But there is a lot of privilege and lack of diversity (which you'll find at most LA high schools, so it's nothing new). Campbell Hall is also committed to the arts and the more they put into that, they better they will be."
