"The teachers really engage with the students and even if there's someone who does not care or like anything about the school, there will be at least one teacher that will amke an impression and connection with you."

"We have been very pleased with his education and the teachers providing it. He also joined Special Olympics and it has been unbelievable how much it has opened doors for my child."

"Vernon Hills high school will always have a place in my heart. The school itself is beautiful and is being improved upon each year. The teachers I have had over the years are extremely committed to each of their students. One thing the school can improve upon is observing teachers to ensure they are performing to their best ability. In other words, just because a teacher has been teaching for a long time doesn't mean they are still competent. I feel free at the school but the staff does get involved in private matters much too often then they should. I will miss the school dearly once I go to college because of the staff and the loving atmosphere that the school ensures I am apart of. I am also being prepared for college in a way I am sure many students who attend schools in other districts aren't able to experience."

"The school itself was fantastic. Well maintained and pretty modern. The teachers 9 times out of 10 went out of their way to make sure a student would understand a concept, as long as the student tried before they asked for help. The students, well, the students were teenagers. They did silly things, some people made more friends than others, and some had interesting hobbies. Only downside to VHS is the walking from freshman/sophomore/junior parking lots in inclement weather, as well as the fact that the school is next to a sewage treatment plant."

"Vernon Hills High School is a great high school. It has amazing teachers and rigorous courses that ensure students are prepared for high school. The sport programs are also run very well and offer students a fun experience. There are many clubs offered at the school, with academic ones often preforming very well in state competitions. On the whole Vernon Hills is a great school to have been a part of."
