"Finally had enough. House is on the market, and the children will be attending a new school next year. Tired of the fighting here in town over this school. We have enough problems with the heroin addicts. The program is limited. Proficiency scores are low. Just a rundown playground where students can do how much or how little they chose. They will get pushed through the grades though. No money for good staff, so the school must now resort to "community volunteers" to help "mentor" in subjects like housekeeping, closet organizing, store clerk, etc. The heroin problem in the village has created many behavior is problems within the school. Special Education costs have skyrocketed. and creative funding has been talked about to help with those costs. The days of this school are numbered though as the state is looking to merge it with a neighboring school. Half of this year's 8th grade class is leaving for a better high school. Same as last year."

"An absolutely wonderful school that I am proud to attend. With project-based curriculum and a wonderful community, it's fun to learn. Teachers care about students' academic goals and work with them to reach them and make sure no one falls through the cracks."

"I transferred to Cabot during the middle of my junior year. I have never been in such a loving environment. The academics are amazing and the teachers are very genuine and caring. I have never been a part of a community that is so together and welcoming. This past year has been an amazing change and I have seen so much growth with myself and am very happy with the direction my education is going."

"The Cabot School is lacking in rigorous academics, the Project Based Learning program fails to adequately educate many children. The school fails to acknowledge the faults of its program, the school board is one dimensional and refuses to see that the school is failing to meet the needs of students and tax payers. The school is so small many kids are left feeling isolated and rejected. The school is falling apart and needs so much work that the town can't possibly afford it at this point. Overall the school is a bust, not a place for my children."

"Cabot School is a wonderful place. We have a brilliant principal, an excellent staff, and an engaged campus. Graduation rates, completion of AP courses, and tertiary enrollment metrics exceed most schools in Vermont. What other school with an average graduating class size of 16 sends students to Central America every other year? Find me another school that sends kids to Harvard or off to technical training or apprenticeships equally well prepared. This is a tightly tailored individualized approach that is successful and valued by both current and former students. Are there room for improvements? Yes! Any campus needs investment, but students are in well-appointed classrooms. An amazing performing arts program is housed in a brand-new space and three playing fields and gym facilities are centers of recreation and fun for all students. Participation rates in extra-curricular activities approach 100%, by the way. Come see what we have to offer!"
