Where should I start in telling you about Janet and I? Janet has over 20 years experience in the field of disabilities. She specialized in autism and loved helping people and talking with families. I (Michael) have been in the field of boring IT (computers) for over 30 years and specialized in automation. Real Estate has been a great transition for us both. Janet with her love of helping people, it has been a perfect transition. Helping people find a home is very rewarding. For me, that is what has always been lacking in the IT world. There is no feeling of reward, and being a real estate Agent is finally filling that void. We live in a home that we rehabbed with our English Bulldog Rocco. And on a nice day, you will see us walking the streets of Frederick with him, or him walking us (some would say).

Seller reviewWhere do I begin? Well, let's say Mike and Janet Burch a two of the most outstanding agents I have ever met. I wouldn't trade their work ethics or even their friendship for nothing. They listen they provided. Dave gave me some knowledge. My parents are not here. they're deceased. I didn't have the guidance to purchase a home and Janet and Mike gave me that and I appreciate both of them so much. This is not a work relationship. This became a family relationship because that's what I consider them to be is my family kudos to Mike and Janet I will always love both of them . They help me find my dream and I'm living it. To whom ever reads this I want you to feel how I feel right now joy I'm crying as I'm doing this, but I am so happy I couldn't be more happier. I have my single-family home.

Seller reviewMichael did a great job explaining not only how he would market our home but the general real estate market and why it would be important to upgrade items like appliances and how that would impact the overall selling price. With this said, he was just explaining options and there was never any presure to complete upgrades to sell the house. He helped us with ideas and gave us a targeted price that he thought the house would sell for if we did a little work on the house. He was very knowledgable on all areas and even was able to help us get our home reclassified out of the flood zone. We would highly recommend using Michael Burch to anyone.

Seller reviewMichael and Janet were awesome to work with every step of the way. From the initial steps to closing. They evaluated the house, recommending what work that had to be done, should be done, and didn't need to be done. They recommended contractors to do the work and assisted in buying appliances and paint and even did some of the work themselves. They were very knowledgeable about market conditions and researched the area to appropriately price the house. They organized the listing and open house. All this resulted in multiple offers the first weekend, which they evaluated, presented to me and advised me on. They made sure my paperwork was in order and also diligently followed up with the buyer's agent and finance people to make sure the closing would occur on time. In addition, they were friendly with great personalities which made them a joy to work with. I highly recommend Mike and Janet to anyone looking to sell or buy a home.
