“NAR Launches Email Campaign To Tout Value Of Homeownership”
The National Association of Realtors has launched an email campaign designed to educate roughly 82 million consumers about the value of homeownership and the government incentives in place that support it. Starting last week, the three-part campaign sent out its first set of emails directly from NAR to U.S. homeowners — about 75 million people — and 7 million aspiring homeowners who are currently renting. “Buying Beats Renting In Most U.S. Cities”
For people who are willing to stay put for a few years, buying a home has become a much better deal than renting in almost every major housing market in the nation. In more than 75 percent of the 200 metro areas analyzed by real estate listing website Zillow, homeowners would reach a “break-even point” — where owning the home makes better financial sense than renting it — in three years or less.
