Like many people living in Florida, I'm from someplace else. Born and raised in Michigan, I spent a decade in Colorado Springs before calling the Florida Suncoast home-and I wouldn't trade this sunny slice of paradise for all the snow in Michigan (or Colorado, for that matter!). Relocating across the country multiple times, finding new friends and things to do, and creating a whole new life taught me how to navigate the challenges of buying and selling a home from your point of view. One thing is for sure: it isn't easy.
The truth is, in one way or another, I've been training my whole life to become a real estate agent.
As the co-owner of a successful furniture store in Michigan, I spent a lot of time with homeowners learning what motivated them to buy their homes and understanding how to market and sell to them. As a software executive in Colorado Springs, I lived and breathed contracts, negotiations, and marketing. The skills I honed during this combined, thirty-year period built the foundation for my career as a REALTOR®.
Today, I'm a top-producing agent at one of the leading CENTURY 21® brokerages in the country. I'm committed to securing the best deals (and finding the best digs) for my clients, and I hold a variety of professional designations that allow me to provide you with a higher level of service.
These designations reflect my passion for the KAIZEN™ philosophy of continuous improvement and learning. This mindset is why I continue to study the real estate industry and collect a range of professional designations. In today's constantly evolving real estate market, you need someone who can keep up with industry changes, someone who can and will advocate for you at every step of your real estate transaction. I'm uniquely qualified to do this because of my strong business and project management background. It doesn't hurt that I also have a secret weapon in my back pocket...
My husband, Edward Panas, is also a licensed REALTOR®. As my business partner, Edward provides critical support, media production, and marketing expertise for our buyers and sellers. He loves to handle the boring-I mean, the administrative side of real estate transactions, and he brings over twenty-five years of marketing and business development experience to the table. Our combined proficiencies are the perfect pairing to help you realize your real estate dreams right here in sunny Sarasota, Florida.

Shelley Panas can do that for you! If you want to sell your home for the highest market value, with the least hassle while working with the highest grade of professionalism, I can whole heartedly recommend Shelley. I am a real estate closing officer and I've been in this business the better part of 20 years. I have worked daily with Real Estate Agents in all this time and with that experience I have never worked with anyone who has come close to Shelley. What she brings to the table is nothing less than stellar. Shelley is professional to say the least. Professional not just in personality, but she brings the highest level of quality of industry knowledge in addition to expert advice and execution. Specifically, she is a highly qualified Realtor. She has exceptional knowledge of legal documentation and implementation. Her contract knowledge and negotiation skills are top-notch. She is organized and her paperwork is immaculate. Part of Shelley's service is that she hires a professional photographer to gain the best quality photos to parade your home. You would not believe how these photographs brought out the best features of my property. We listed the house at approximately 10 am on a Monday morning. Within 35 minutes the first showing was scheduled for later in the day. We had four additional showings the next day and then, simply because of lack of time we had to turn down two additional showings for the same day. We were presented with four 'good' offers that evening. There was a solid contract on my kitchen table in less than 32 hours. My side of the transaction was virtually flawless. The buyer has another story and had to work with a much lower level of service. Throughout the process, Shelley constantly stayed on them keeping them on schedule and communicated with me through every stage of the sale. Her communication skills and constant follow up were far beyond any expectations I could have imagined. She picked up her phone when she was available and she returned my calls promptly. I can never thank Shelley enough for the outstanding help in getting my home sold!

Buyer reviewShelley was amazing from the start. The fact that we were out of state and looking for a home in Florida could have been a challenge, but Shelley made it easy. She knew what we were looking for, and made every effort to set appointments up for us to see as many places as we could during a very short period of time while we were in Florida. She followed up with us after we returned to NJ, and was always available to answer any questions we had. She was very easy to reach, and when we couldn't reach her, she returned our calls promptly. Her knowledge of the area was amazing. She never, ever pushed us to make decisions we weren't ready too. She offered to help us in any way that she could. She is not only a great realtor, but now she is a great friend. We've already recommended her to other friends who are considering a move to Florida, and we will continue to do so. We consider ourselves very lucky to have been referred to her and are extremely happy with our new home. Anyone lucky enough to work with Shelley, will not regret it!
