Like many people living in Florida, I'm from someplace else. Born and raised in Michigan, I spent a decade in Colorado Springs before calling the Florida Suncoast home-and I wouldn't trade this sunny slice of paradise for all the snow in Michigan (or Colorado, for that matter!). Relocating across the country multiple times, finding new friends and things to do, and creating a whole new life taught me how to navigate the challenges of buying and selling a home from your point of view. One thing is for sure: it isn't easy.
The truth is, in one way or another, I've been training my whole life to become a real estate agent.
As the co-owner of a successful furniture store in Michigan, I spent a lot of time with homeowners learning what motivated them to buy their homes and understanding how to market and sell to them. As a software executive in Colorado Springs, I lived and breathed contracts, negotiations, and marketing. The skills I honed during this combined, thirty-year period built the foundation for my career as a REALTOR®.
Today, I'm a top-producing agent at one of the leading CENTURY 21® brokerages in the country. I'm committed to securing the best deals (and finding the best digs) for my clients, and I hold a variety of professional designations that allow me to provide you with a higher level of service.
These designations reflect my passion for the KAIZEN™ philosophy of continuous improvement and learning. This mindset is why I continue to study the real estate industry and collect a range of professional designations. In today's constantly evolving real estate market, you need someone who can keep up with industry changes, someone who can and will advocate for you at every step of your real estate transaction. I'm uniquely qualified to do this because of my strong business and project management background. It doesn't hurt that I also have a secret weapon in my back pocket...
My husband, Edward Panas, is also a licensed REALTOR®. As my business partner, Edward provides critical support, media production, and marketing expertise for our buyers and sellers. He loves to handle the boring-I mean, the administrative side of real estate transactions, and he brings over twenty-five years of marketing and business development experience to the table. Our combined proficiencies are the perfect pairing to help you realize your real estate dreams right here in sunny Sarasota, Florida.

What started as a side project quickly became a successful, award-winning show that educated buyers and sellers on the real estate market. I highly recommend using Shelley Panas for her industry expertise. She has excellent communication and brought up crucial items to think about at key times. She knew we would be concerned after Hurricane Irma struck and risked her own life while power lines were still down to check on our home under contract and even sent us video for peace of mind - all without being asked. She constantly showed these additional personal touches that made the entire home buying process so much easier. Shelley's calm and reassuring manner was very comforting during the entire process. Her friendly and reliable manner was a pleasure to deal with even when we faced a couple of challenges. Buyer reviewWe reached out thru the net interest in properties in a few areas, 3 brokers contacted us with in a few hours. Shelly was the 2nd. We set appointments with 2 of the 3 brokers we felt comfortable with over the phone. This was for a few weeks away when we would be in town. Shelly not only set us up on a site to view properties but was in consent contact with ideas and possibilities. She set up a visiting schedule over 3 days that was not over whelming but covered many areas and options.
