Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I graduated with a business degree in Accounting from Clarion University and worked as an accountant in New York for over 6 years.
Knowing that I wanted to make a career in selling real estate, I moved to Northern Virginia in 2003 and worked towards attaining my real estate license.
Since then, I have been licensed in Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland, with associate brokers licenses in both Virginia and Maryland.
In 2006, I founded Battle Real Estate in Virginia where I was the principle broker for over 2 years, during which time I also sold new homes in Maryland and Washington, DC for McWilliams Ballard.
I have been recognized as a Top Producer through the National Association of Realtors and have won many awards, including Century 21s Emerald Award in 2009 and Centurion Award in 2010.
I sell real estate, but honestly a home will sell itself when you walk through the door. So naturally, I dont believe in pressure tactics. My job isnt to sell you on a home, it is to find the homes that best fit your criteria, make you feel comfortable throughout the transaction, and negotiate your terms on the home of your choice.
And I have extensive knowledge and over 7 of experience in resales, foreclosures, short sales and new homes to do just that.
Real estate has always been my passion. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a major in Property Management and a minor in Real Estate, I knew there was no better place to begin my real estate career than the DC Metropolitan Area.
Though my employment in the field began with a large commercial firm, CB Richard Ellis in Washington, DC, it was always clear that my true calling was in the residential sector.
I transitioned to Century 21 Redwood Realty in the spring of 2007, which history will show was a rough time to enter the industry.
Despite the housing market turmoil, I grew my business and successfully survived - even flourished - in a challenging market.
Having closed over $40 million in sales volume between 2008 and 2011, I've learned that market conditions are no match for hard work; knowledge presents opportunities; and energy invested is never energy lost.
I feel this "education is power" mentality is ever-present in my way of conducting business, interacting with clients, and - eventually - the level of comfort and excitement each client feels when buying or selling their home.
