Born and raised in a small town sixty miles outside of downtown Chicago, Steven Powers has thoroughly enjoyed making the transition from rural to urban living in the West Loop after having gained significant experience in finish carpentry and residential construction as well as having served in the Illinois Army National Guard for 8 years. g from an active duty deployment to Afghanistan in 2009.
