I had tried on about 4 realtors I know well in Austin, however, not one of them understood my needs or were eager to get started. As soon as I met Mary she didn't press me and was positive and eager to support. She simply showed me the beautiful home and even called a neighbor to come down and answer some of my questions first hand. I was also trying on other realtors, who I also did not know, and they were extremely high pressure to sign agreements before we even had showings. They also were insistent That I have a contingent offer on my home before they show me houses. I was not worried that my house would sell. I was worried it would sell too fast without me securing a dream home first. It is a big purchase. I was ready to sell and buy. But I wasn't interested in working with an agent that insisted on an exclusive agreement before I could even get to know them "over a cup of coffee" (or house showing).
