Hello from Beautiful Destin, Florida. I am Philip Lofe'. My entire adult career experience has revolved around Real Estate, Association and Resort Management. I LOVE what I do and I do what I LOVE and I'm good at it! I have customers and clients that have bought and/or sold 8-10 different properties through me during my 30+ years in the real estate industry. I look forward to assisting you in your search for that perfect home or condo.
I was born in Valparaiso, Florida, attended school locally before graduating from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. I have worked the Destin Market since early in 1980. My philosophy has been that "it's ALL about relationships and ALL about Trust". I fall asleep at night knowing that my Buyers/Sellers and Owners DO Trust me and rely on my expertise, which I am very thankful for.
I started my career with Century 21 in 1979. Why? After doing extensive research, I quickly learned that Century 21 was the true market leader during my young adult life. The training I received during that time was NOT available through any other firm or franchise. Now that I look toward retirement, which can't happen for at least 10 more years, I think it is remarkable that I would end my career with Century 21, (Fine Homes and Estates), Blue Marlin.
Century 21 has regained their position as THE market leader and has been awarded "Best" among Buyers and Sellers by J. D. Powers for the last four years consecutively. Combine those accolades with Blue Marlin Realty Group's, "Best Real Estate and Vacation Rental Company in Destin" for 2012-2013-2014 and again in 2015. Coincidence? Probably... not!
At the end of my fun and fabulous career, my hope is that I am remembered as a man of integrity. I am blessed to have a wonderful, crazy and diverse family and feel that I've found my final work family. I thank God for my many blessings and if I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!
I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. At the young age of 19, I joined the US Air Force to see the world and start a career in Information Technology as a software and network engineer. I lived and traveled to many amazing places including England, Italy, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Holland, and Morocco. I've also traveled all over the U.S. I particularly enjoyed Florida, Utah, and Colorado. I moved just about every 2 years during my Air Force career before I retired in 2000. A month after I retired, we moved our family to Florida. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Troy State and an MBA from University of Florida. My MBA portfolio capstone study was based on the residential home building industry. My husband is a civil and environmental engineer, a licensed FL Contractor, and built homes for a number of years before he was hired at Eglin AFB in the USAF Research Lab. We share a love of home building and really enjoy the real estate industry. After I retired from the USAF, I transitioned into the Defense Contractor sector as an IT Executive. But, after 31 years with the Department of Defense, I decided to change gears and follow my passion in real estate. There is nothing better than finding someone their dream home!
We feel incredibly blessed to live in vacation land! We live on the water in Niceville in a home my husband designed and built for us. Our family enjoys taking our boat out for fishing and water skiing voyages with friends. We are absolutely amazed at all the wildlife in the area - both in the gulf and on the Eglin AFB reservation. One of our favorite things to do is watch the baby Ospreys fly from their nests for the first time. Just fantastic! I am an active member of the Eglin AFB Chiefs Group and am involved in many local charities including one of my very favorites, Toys for Tots. Growing up in a family that owned steakhouses in Ohio, I love to cook and my husband really likes to eat. So, that works out great! My last name is sometimes a challenge to pronounce - so just call me Mary G!
