Personal Profile
Julia comes to the team with a year and half in the real estate profession, but with several years' experience as a real estate investor with her husband Damian. In that time, they purchased, rehabbed, and sold several properties while seeing a rental portfolio grow. To one who loves learning and new adventures, earning her license and joining the ranks of Realtors® was a clear next step! Julia moved to the Tamaqua area in her childhood, returning at the time of her marriage to live in New Ringgold with her husband and their now five children. In the intervening years, she earned a Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education from Bloomsburg University and Masters in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University. This has brought her into her eleventh year as a Special Education Teacher in the Tamaqua School District, where she sites her current position in the Life Skill Classroom as her favorite. It was this experience, in this specific classroom that led to an exciting and momentous idea. In collaboration with fellow educators, current and former students, and parents, Julia became part of bringing Sweet Inclusions to life! Identifying a lack of available jobs for students with special needs and knowing the struggle these young people endure after graduation due to lack of transportation, Sweet Inclusions was born with an aim to provide skills and jobs to these students in their local community. Since its inception, they have explored and developed new flavors, serving fellow students and teachers as well as to the community at various events throughout the summer. Every smoothie sold and event attended brings them closer to their brick-and-mortar goal! With her personal and professional experience buying and selling real estate, paired with her rich history as an educator and problem-solving entrepreneur, Julia brings a tremendous skill set to the team and every client!
