Personal Profile

Mike grew up in Southern Missouri, where he worked on a cattle farm throughout high school gaining a strong work ethic. He spent some time in the Army in a very specialized field, and upon returning home ended up in the bakery business selling Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes. After climbing to the Vice President of Sales over several states, he moved to a position in the lumber business. He and his beautiful wife Lori have lived in Columbia since 1985, and they are proud to call Columbia home. Mike has been an active member of the community for over 35 years and is so excited to be turning his community focus toward real estate. He understands the stress that is involved in the buying or building process for the first time, or the tenth time. He was always grateful for the assistance of a real estate agent when purchasing a home or a rental property, and that is what he does for his clients. Whether representing you as a buyer or a seller, he wants to earn your business by working hard to get the best deal with the least amount of stress. The real estate market can be complex and hard to navigate. His business and sales skills are perfect for ensuring his clients are working towards the best deal possible. His personal experience and knowledge will help to ease your stress throughout the whole process. When he's not working hard for his clients, Mike works with a not-for-profit organization called Mid-America Special Sportsmen's Association, that he co-founded in 1999. This not-for-profit takes special needs individuals on hunting adventures so they too can enjoy the outdoors. Why would you want Mike as your agent? He will combine his 45 years in sales and building experience into the ability to turn the stress of buying a home into a special time in your life. He will make your experience of a home or property purchase an enjoyable adventure.

Mike was a awesome agent to work with. Great communication. Availability, and despite looking at multiple properties in different townships he was always punctual , well informed of the listing and most importantly willing for the trip. A great person overall. Low stress, straight to the point. Would and will recommend to other buyers if such convo arises in the future. A

Mike Deshazo listened when I shared my safety concerns about a defective electric panel and took my concerns seriously. He even decided to help pay for a replacement panel using his funds when the sellers refused to help. I will always be grateful for his stellar assistance; he's a one-in-a-million realtor.

Mike was great. He worked with us for over a year to get us in the right house. By the end of it, it felt as if he was part of the family
