Personal Profile
I was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, and live in Franklin with my wife and our two kids. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and my law degree from the Marquette University Law School. I have worked in the business world for Fortune 500 companies, practiced law with a focus on commercial law and real estate, and currently teach at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
My slight obsession with real estate started at a young age, and I have pursued professional opportunities in support of this passion. I am a real estate investor, and in addition to managing my own properties, I have worked as a commercial property manager and counsel for a large multinational real estate firm. In addition to teaching business law courses as a Lecturer at UW-Whitewater, including the university's Real Estate Law course, I also maintain a legal practice focused on real estate transactions.
Working with Benefit Realty provides yet another means for me to serve buyers and sellers of real estate in the Milwaukee and surrounding areas. I am happiest when helping people, and my teaching experience and legal background help me to advocate for my clients while also making sure they are informed and understand what is happening every step of the way. I chose to work with Benefit Realty because it is at the forefront of the real estate industry, offering full service listings while saving its clients millions of dollars in real estate commissions over the years. Seller reviewWe had a very challenging situation with my mother moving into assisted care living and the need to sell her condo quickly. I interviewed five local agents, and Dennis Elverman was by far the best. His personality, background, training, and expertise are outstanding. Everything you would want in a realtor for a critical home sale. He did the background research, presented his marketing plan, and recommended pricing. Dennis offered great suggestions on showing and advertising our house. His recommended pricing was 6% higher than all the other recommendations, and we were able to get that price within three days, including a 30-day closing. The negotiations and sales went smoothly. Dennis was very patient with all of his interactions with my elderly mother, including visiting her location for meetings and signatures. Dennis was there for every step along the way, including phone calls, texts, and emails.
