Personal Profile
I have been living on the south Oregon Coast for over 35 years. Emigrating from the east coast, I can vividly remember my first look at the Pacific Ocean in Curry County. It was one of the most beautiful sites I had ever seen. To this day one of my favorite things to do with visiting guests is to hike Cape Sebastian, one of the wonders of the south coast! My husband Les , a Custom Ukulele and Guitar builder , and I raised our two daughters here, both are college graduates. We have been extremely pleased with the education they received in Gold Beach, both graduated with honors. Our oldest daughter, Laura her sons Dylan and Kyler purchased a home in the Gold Beach area. Laura is currently working as an ER nurse in our local hospital. Our daughter Jen is a US Forest Service Firefighter.
I served as an elected member of the Central Curry School District for many years and volunteer member of the Budget Committee. I would be happy to answer your questions about our District's education. I also served as a member of the Curry Health District Board of Directors and currently volunteer as a member of the Curry Health Foundation. Together, Les and I founded the Pistol River Concert Association , a concert series that has been bringing high quality music to the local community for over twenty years. I spent twelve years working for the Forest Service in Visitor Information. I enjoy being able to share my love for this area with visitors and new people moving into the area. As out of town buyers a lot of our search was conducted over the internet, with Mary setting up appointments at our request, observing our choices and listening to our needs as one house after another never quite rose to the level of our "Gotta Have It". One house finally did, though it was out of our price range…until one day, after another fruitless search, Mary suggested we look again and, perhaps, make the best offer we could. This was a vacation rental so we did not live there, but Mary always kept us informed as to what was going on with the market. Appreciated having some one we could count on as we never got the pleasure of meeting her due to distance from Oregon.

Mary knows her business well, is a champion multi-tasker, and most importantly to me, provided expert recommendations in responding to various challenges along the way: from prioritizing home improvements/home staging, to responding to addendum requests from the buyer, and resolving questions from inspections. She was able to assist me in managing my own perfectionism, which had stalled my ability to get the property on the market. In addition, Mary took fabulous photos for advertising my wonderful place.
