The St. Petersburg area has been Al's home since 1971. He's been married for nearly 30 years, and has five children and nearly a dozen grandchildren. After spending time in the Air Force, Al earned his Associates in Arts degree and worked in the aerospace industry at Honeywell for over 20 years, managing more than 50 personnel. Al's management experience has helped him develop his skill at relating to people, individually, while still maintaining deadlines. Moving into the sales industry, Al worked for Verizon Wireless for several years before becoming a realtor.

Seller reviewAlan Shields was everything we could ask for in a broker. From the moment we enlisted his services, Alan fully outlined his approach and expectations for selling our home. His professionalism was apparent in every facate of the marketing/sale of the house. Alan provided pricing targets, helpful pointers for making the home more appealing, held open house reviews, and guided us through every detail of the sale. We had three (3) competing offers within the first two days, and completed an agreement for the sale of our house on the third day, at a price sustantially higher than our asking price. Alan Shields continued his helpful assistance to us throughout the entire closing process, including helpful advice on navigating our way thru two major hurricane cycles which would have potentially disrupted the final closing. All in all, Alan Shields is be a broker we would strongly recommend to anyone selling a home in today's market.
