Buyer reviewWe had a great experience working with Joan overall. She taught me a ton about the market, and the whole process was actually fun. Joan is also very good at digging below the surface. At one house we looked at, she discovered a number of code violations by the Seller about which they were lying to us. She is a good detective as well as a broker! Joan also tells it how it is, as do her inspectors and all the other parties she brings to the table. She is not going to sugar coat anything, which was very important to us.

Seller reviewJoan was our agent when we bought the property nine years ago and helped us find a great place. We have kept in touch over the years, and she helped many of our friends in the interim. As soon as we decided to sell, Joan was our first call. Our apartment needed a little bit of touch-up work before we put it on the market. I am in the Navy and live in San Diego, so I couldn't oversee the work from here. Joan located a contractor, set up the work schedule, and ensured that the job was completed as scheduled. The contractors did an outstanding job, which I have no doubt enhanced the value of our apartment. In addition to the physical work done on the apartment, Joan also worked closely with a stager to make the place look great prior to the sale. Simply put, the place would not have looked as great without Joan. I felt like we were Joan's only clients. As a seller, I couldn't ask for anything more. She is a great agent and person. I have been recommending Joan to friends in the DC area since 2008. Her outstanding performance this time around simply reaffirmed my confidence in her.

Buyer reviewJoan was great throughout the entire buying practice. She understood what I didn't understand and clearly articulated what would get me to a level of comfort with a particular issue. That being said, she also understood when I did understand something and didn't bother explaining something to me and wasting my time. She was always very available, even showing me several houses on her birthday. All of this made my first home purchase a great and successful experience.
