The vast majority of our business comes from referrals and repeat clients. I do everything I can to make the home buying or selling experience as smooth as possible. I also believe it should be fun - after all it's one of the most exciting things a person does in their life!
Our expertise covers everything from the marketing of unique properties like the Frank Lloyd style home at "Red Dog Ridge", to the contemporary custom-built executive homes such as those found in the Rollingwood sub-division, as well as similarly exclusive properties throughout Rock County.
Our approach to marketing is one of partnership with our client, incorporating their ideas and objectives right from the start. After gathering all available information and fully researching the history, features and competitive advantages of each property, we present a draft marketing plan to our client. This outlines "the story" we are going to tell, in words and pictures, both in the listing and all the attendant promotional elements and advertising.
Ongoing investments in photographic and on-line technologies to optimize the presentation of listings to potential buyers, are also an important part of our marketing approach.
Prior to listing we work closely with our clients to determine what preparation needs to be done to ensure the home is presented in it's best light. Occasionally there may be certain items that need repair or replacing, but for the most part we recommend not wasting money on things such as carpet, paint or appliances. There are often just a few simple things that can be done to enhance a home's perceived value without spending a lot of money.
We also have a team of reasonably priced and good quality partners and contractors we work with to help with pre-listing repairs, cleaning and any other items necessary to prepare homes for listing and showings.

Seller reviewWhen I was looking for a realtor to sell my unique home on acreage, I was looking for someone who knew how to market a special property. Kerri Walter was the person who checked all the boxes. She had the history to show she knew what she was doing. She and her cohort (her husband), Bob, were impressive with their skills, energy, and knowledge. I was especially pleased with their grasp of the special qualities of the home and to whom it would appeal. They studied the home and were ready to provide answers and information to potential buyers. They already were practiced on how to reach those people. Selling a home was actually pleasant with Kerri, probably, in part, because she is a professional and enjoys what she does. The proof is in the pudding. She and Bob did the work and when the house was listed, there were many showings and three good offers within a week. We closed within a month of listing! I highly recommend Kerri Walter and her team. They are exceptional.

Her honesty, integrity, and willingness to work within our budget and timeframe without pushing made her the right choice for us. Kerri was amazing for us as first time home buyers. She pointed out things we wouldn't have thought to look at and saved us from many mistakes to get us to find our wonderful home. Kerri was always honest with us and never tried to push us out of our comfort zone. She was patient, kind, and totally understanding of our extenuating circumstances especially when our 8 month old daughter had a surprise stay in the Children's hospital. She facilitated viewing and purchasing this home and helped us make it happen all while dealing with that family emergency. We can't say enough how much that meant to us. You can tell she enjoys what she does and excels in her field! It's always nice to feel that someone's in your corner, especially while buying a home She's very attentive to messages and worked quickly behind the scenes to ensure I had the least amount of problems possible. She gave great recommendations for services that were needed prior to closing, saving me money and time. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with Kerri and I recommend her to anyone looking for an agent!

Seller reviewKerri is outstanding. She has worked with my family on multiple occasions. Most recently, she sold my parent's condo in Janesville. I am out-of-state, so Kerri handled everything in my absence. She prepped the house, including removing unwanted items from the property and cleaning it before the first showing. Within a week, she had multiple offers in hand, including the one that we accepted at above list price with minimal contingencies. And, we had a smooth close within a month. I couldn't be more pleased with the process and result.
