Personal Profile
I have been living on the south Oregon Coast for over 35 years. Emigrating from the east coast, I can vividly remember my first look at the Pacific Ocean in Curry County. It was one of the most beautiful sites I had ever seen. To this day one of my favorite things to do with visiting guests is to hike Cape Sebastian, one of the wonders of the south coast! My husband Les , a Custom Ukulele and Guitar builder , and I raised our two daughters here, both are college graduates. We have been extremely pleased with the education they received in Gold Beach, both graduated with honors. Our oldest daughter, Laura her sons Dylan and Kyler purchased a home in the Gold Beach area. Laura is currently working as an ER nurse in our local hospital. Our daughter Jen is a US Forest Service Firefighter.
I served as an elected member of the Central Curry School District for many years and volunteer member of the Budget Committee. I would be happy to answer your questions about our District's education. I also served as a member of the Curry Health District Board of Directors and currently volunteer as a member of the Curry Health Foundation. Together, Les and I founded the Pistol River Concert Association , a concert series that has been bringing high quality music to the local community for over twenty years. I spent twelve years working for the Forest Service in Visitor Information. I enjoy being able to share my love for this area with visitors and new people moving into the area. Buyer reviewWell positioned, top seller, agent. Mary is readily available through all aspects of the buying process. Our buying process was not "stressful." She showed us options after listening to our preferences, reviewing our "internet finds". She gave us input on the community, the weather, various recommendations. She stepped back, let us decide. But most importantly, she is pleasant,"fun" to have as an agent. She got our humor, our critiques of the diverse properties. We knew we could trust her to handle it all through closing. She is the best.

Buyer reviewWe saw the "for sale" sign on the house and called Mary. She was both the listing agent and selling agent. Mary handled both ends excellently and professionally. Some people would shy away from having one agent handle both ends. But, we liked Mary from the start and knew we would receive fair and honest service. She is very well known in the Gold Beach community, and when asked by the title company and at least one contractor who are realtor was, they all knew her and said we were in good hands. There were numerous phone calls and emails between us, and she answered them promptly. After the appraisal came in much lower than what the sellers probably expected, Mary handled the negotiations and got us a fair price. She negotiated some of her commission, and we came up some from the appraisal. She made it work so that it was equitable for all concerned. My wife and I were very happy with the final pricing. After the inspection was completed, Mary contacted the various contractors and scheduled there times at the house, sometimes in between vacation renters. She stayed on top of the contractors making sure the work was done professionally, Mary worked very hard for us. I would recommend Mary to any of my friends. We liked Mary so much, she is handling another purchase for us in the same neighborhood. A vacant lot across the street.
