Personal Profile

As a native San Antonian, Monica has had the opportunity to see the city shift and change to become the world class city it is today. Owning and living in multiple homes in a variety of neighborhoods throughout her life, she has experienced parts of the city and has local knowledge of areas that most people haven't been able to experience.

She brings a unique perspective as your Realtor because of this knowledge, not only of the many neighborhoods, but also some of the city's best attractions including shopping and dining. Monica is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned a degree in Business Management. Working within the finance industry for 13 years she focused on sales, service and compliance issues and has carried that experience over to her real estate business. Her level of commitment is evident as she has been recognized consistently for her integrity, sincerity, and quality of character.

Monica is also passionate about giving back to the community and is actively involved in local missions through her church and has been a member of the Junior League of San Antonio since 2006.

Monica loves many things, including real estate, but aside from that she is surrounded by the love of her husband Phillip, sons Erich and Matthew, and a cocker spaniel named Cookie.

After the extremely quick sale by Monica of our home on 11 Kings Canyon, we were a bit panicked to find a new home, not wanting to have to rent. Monica worked diligently and seemingly tirelessly to help us find just the right home. We looked at endless amounts of homes just to check out different areas and neighborhoods to rule them out. She was patient with us and provided lots of feedback to help us narrow down our searches. When we would get frustrated or anxious she always had a way of gently calming us down and reassuring us that we would find THE house we were looking for. When we found a house we thought was it, she did research on the history and convinced the realtor of that house that the sellers were asking way too much - even with upgrades, due to the price they had paid for it when they originally purchased it. She must have been convincing because the realtor reduced the price by 30,000 the next day! We immediately put a bid on the house and they accepted it. Long story short, after using the inspection team Monica recommended, we ended up backing out of the house because the septic tank was shot and the roof and other parts of the home needed alot of repair. Devastated, we continued our search and she helped us find a home-out of our price range, but due to the zip code, we were able to save 500 a month because we weren't paying city taxes. We were thrilled, put an offer on the home, the owners countered and we accepted! Seriously we couldn't be happier!! We have 2 plus acres, a pool, beautifully landscaped fenced-in yard, a beautiful 4500 square foot home with endless upgrades and we are located close to where our boys attend school. The process was tough as moving can be, but she gently and persistently walked us through every step of the way with kid like gloves. We felt protected by her when encountering unfairness with the other realtors or sellers, laughed together and cried (us not her:) and are so very thankful that she helped make our dream home come true! The only regret I have is that I won't be spending as much time with her! We really enjoyed her company! Thanks for everything Monica!!! impeccable character!

We have had experiences with other realtors in the past with OK results when previously considering selling our home. We knew Monica from San Antonio Christian school and when we found out she was a realtor we were definitely interested in using her as our realtor! Her being family oriented, a person of integrity, and genuinely light hearted and kind we began looking at homes and discussing the option to sell. She was extremely patient, kind, and always available to help in any way. She was never pushy and gave us the space we needed to ultimately make our decision. It took us 8 months of looking at many neighborhoods throughout San Antonio, countless hours on the internet and consulting with her to Finally get to the place where we felt it was time to take the plunge and put our house on the market. She helped us come up with an asking price that was fair and we felt good about. She gave us some suggestions on home improvements - nothing over the top or expensive, helped us with staging and took pictures and a video of the house. The listing was so incredible we had second thoughts about moving because we loved how our house looked! The house sold in 2 weeks and we had offers the second day it was on the market. We used the money from the sell of our house to pay off my car and put the rest of the proceeds in our new home. We are now in our dream home and it is a dream come true!!

Monica was great to work with. I felt she had my interests at the top of her mind. Given the distances involved, and the short showing period I felt Monica had all of her "ducks in a row" with appointments, organized travel, insights, and good background on comps when the time came to make an offer. Kudos to Monica!

Monica Valadez did an excellent job with helping me find my first home. Monica was very patient , understanding and always available to help answer any questions I had. Monica helped every step of the way and even went out of her way to ensure that the builder completed every correction to the home. I would definitely recommend Monica to any one who is looking to purchase a home.

Monica had helped us on a previous sell of a property. For over a year and half we have contemplated buying a home in SA and had asked Monica to help us with that, we had a budget and were pressed for time. We have 2 children in SA colleges and did not want to pay for apartment rents anymore. She was excellent in helping my wife especially with what we were looking for. She was very patient with us both and showed us numerous options, until finally settling on a home. During the whole closing part she kept us informed and updated with everything we needed to do to get this sell done fast, she set up the appointments necessary to get this deal done. Since, we live in Laredo she either texted, emailed and even made phone calls to explain documents that needed to be signed and explained what we were actually signing. In short I would recommend Monica to anyone out there looking for a home, you wont be let down.
