He responded with his contact information; over the course of 6 weeks, Rob became both our realtor as well as local subject matter expert on schools, communities, churches, commute times. He helped me get into well over a dozen homes in helping me with my decision process and he worked hard to refine our search based on my likes/dislikes at each property. Family circumstances required a degree of inflexibility around the closing due to my job responsibilities and family health care needs. Rob went above and beyond to make sure that the closing occurred on time and was as painless as possible. We did have a minor hiccup at the eleventh hour which was completely out of Rob's control (the seller's relo company wanted to make a change to the HUD document). Rob and our mortgage banker worked together to move mountains and our closing was wrapped up right on time. I bought my first home at age 24 and then my second one nearly 20 years later. This is my third home purchase and I wish I'd had someone of Rob's caliber helping with the first two transactions. He answered all of my questions (even the dumb ones!) and always treated me with the greatest degree of respect and service. Post-closing, we had a minor plumbing issue in the new house, and although there is nothing else for which a realtor is responsible beyond closing, Rob went out of his way to get us connected with the home inspector and make sure the problem was addressed to our satisfaction. Basically, the real estate industry could use a lot more folks like Rob and I am grateful that my random Zillow search connected us.
