Teresa Knowles was born in Caswell County, then moved to Rockingham County in 1977, where she graduated from Reidsville Senior High School in 1978. Before obtaining her real estate salesperson license, she worked at the local Burlington Industries Textile Plant. Teresa is married to Greg Knowles, who is retired and was the past owner of GK Transmissions in Reidsville, NC. They have two children and six grandchildren.
Teresa graduated from Dan Mohr Real Estate School in Greensboro, NC, in 1986 and from the Realtors Institute (GRI) in Chapel Hill, NC, in 1989. She also holds several designations, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), member of the REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI), Certified Short Sale Specialist (CSP), Certified Listing Expert (CLE). Teresa values staying informed and educated to better serve her clients and customers in the ever-changing real estate market.Teresa believes not only in education but also a desire to give back to the community she serves. Currently serving on Rockingham County Board of Equalization and Review and The Better Business Bureau.
In January 1999, Teresa purchased the late Lee Stanley Realty, renaming the company to Knowles & Associates. She also acquired the Century 21 Real Estate LLC franchise in March 2004, resulting in the company becoming CENTURY 21 The Knowles Team.
The Knowles Team has been honored with the Centurion "Team" award every year since 2005 and is regarded as one of the leading companies serving Rockingham and Caswell Counties.

Seller reviewSelling a house is a stressful endeavor no matter the circumstances. The selection of a realtor to guide and walk with you through this process determines whether one will be scarred by it for life, or will get through the process so uneventfully that it is gradually forgotten. Teresa S. Knowles and her team constitute the latter. They are so competent and professional at what they do, meeting them and dealing with them will actually result in fond memories of the process and will thoroughly dissolve the stress of going through it. Teresa and her team, particularly Eden, responded to questions whenever they came up and provided clear, concise information on the process at all stages. I could not have hoped for a better realtor and support staff. Teresa knows the market and knows how to sell a house and sell it quickly at an exceptional value. They made you feel as if you were their only client. They were there any time always for questions, reassurance, anything. I don't believe they sleep much!
