Selling our home was a somewhat unexpected whirlwind. We are beyond grateful that we had Colleen Johnston-Hatami by our side. We decided to find a new house before selling our current home as the market was moving very quickly and we were looking for a rather specific house that would allow for my grandma and my partner's father to move with us. Our search area was wide and I can only assume we had Colleen feeling like a ping pong ball as houses popped up all over the map, and disappeared just as quickly; though she never showed her wear or slowed down. Colleen was able to guide us through our own wants and needs with more clarity than we were able to accurately express ourselves, and even remind us of those at the time we felt more desperate because houses were selling within hours of being listed; finding the balance between needs, wants, and budget was often difficult, but Colleen managed to make sure we didn't sacrifice any area beyond the point that we would carry regrets. When we did have an accepted offer Colleen still aided us in helping with ideas on any changes we wanted to make within our budget - her design and decorating background definitely came in handy! After finding our new home, came the task of packing up, staging, and selling our current house; arguably less fun by most standards. Colleen came in with her plan, and had us geared up to do what we needed to do. She was very helpful in packing tips, and staging ideas; particularly while dealing with people who were undoubtedly worn out from the house hunt. Colleen further came through when a couple very last minute repairs were warranted before listing. She was able to quickly adapt our marketing strategy and wasn't afraid to roll up her own sleeves to help us have the house ready in time for our open house. Thanks to her help and support our house sold above list price on the first day! Colleen Johnston-Hatami is someone I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. We threw many hurdles at her, usually last minute, and she didn't flinch; kept going, kept us going, and left us with nothing but gratefulness in our hearts as we're able to sit in our new home surrounded by our family and be proud of what we were able to create with her help.

I've bought and sold many houses in my life however none prepared me for the emotional toll of selling my last home. I didn't buy another house after the sale however I did go along on the search for my granddaughter and her partner's house as I'd be moving in with them. She brought the same positive energy and made sure to find ways each potential house could provide places that would allow me to keep some of my favorite furniture pieces and allow me to still have a craft room; which she knew was very important to me.
