Seller reviewIt is my distinct pleasure to provide a testimonial for Lorna Johnston. I first became acquainted with Lorna (and Scott) Johnston in July 2007, when I asked them to evaluate the value of my just inherited property at 1323 4th Avenue SE, Aberdeen, SD. They provided a very thorough portfolio of the value and potential sale options for the residence. However, as it was the house that I grew up in during my teens, I found myself reluctant to sell the home at that time. Fast forward 11 years. The time had come to sell the residence. In as much as I had a good remembrance of the Johnston's previous effort in 2007, it seemed only prudent to contact them to put the house on the market. Thus, Lorna became the Realtor. The usual contract between Seller and Realtor was signed on the weekend of May 5-6. A buyer's contract for the house was signed before noon the next day, Monday, May 7, 2018. Unreal action time! And the sale of the house was closed on June 22. Yes, we had numerous negotiations between offer and closing. And this is where Lorna was at her best. She kept me posted of developments every day and sometimes multiple times a day. Thus, there were many discussions between us. Lorna listened to my opinions carefully, was open to new lines of thinking, and always responded in a positive and enlightening manner. In short, Lorna was extremely pleasant in all aspects of being a realtor, and, in fact, fun to work with. She was knowledgeable, tireless and efficient. I could not have selected a better realtor!

She was wonderful at keeping in contact with us and always kept us up-to-date on new listings. Lorna was very knowledgeable and guided us through each step of the home buying process, which went seamlessly. She was always very warm, friendly, and charismatic in our encounters. Buyer reviewA friend called once he found out that we were moving to Aberdeen and suggested that we work with Lorna and Scott Johnston. Lorna called and left a message to get the process started before we even moved! They were very, very helpful. They know the area so well and were upfront and honest when we asked them all types of questions - in regards to the neighborhoods and opinions. We gave them parameters for the house we were looking for including the budget, wants vs. needs, etc and they respected those. They did not send us houses above our budget or anything. When we had a hard time communicating the style of house we were looking for, they sent us many options as we could handle. They made themselves available at all times and we're so friendly and great to work with - we would highly recommend them!!
