Buyer reviewSince I was just looking for a plat of land I thought that I could do it on my own. But, I was having trouble getting others to accept my ideas/questions or to even consider my build for their open locations. A co-worker and friend had just bought a house with Lorna and had nothing but good things to say about her so I reached out. Lorna didn't sugarcoat my situation or available choices, but she wasn't discouraged by them either. She used her knowledge of the market and her connections with other brokers to speed up the process and we found somewhere that would work within a few days. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I had a vision of what I wanted. Lorna had such patience with me when I kept questioning things and pushing for somewhere I could see my family, that felt like HOME, even though this town gave me very limited options. I swear she doesn't sleep because my (many, many) emails were always immediately responded to-no matter what crazy hour I sent them and I never felt like she saw our transaction as "just a small piece of land" when there were actual houses she could be spending her time on instead. Overall, what could have been a deal breaker and stopped my ideas of construction before they ever started turned out to be a fairly seamless process with the right help. Lorna took the time to answer all of my questions and to explain what we were doing and why through the whole process. She checked in on me when my appraisal took forever and kept my impatience in check. Lorna has celebrated each win with me and has continued to cheer me on. I know she'll do the same until I'm in my home months from now, even though her share of the process is now complete. I don't feel like I met a realtor, I feel like I made a friend.
