Michael did a superb job through the entire process of buying and selling our home. From the very beginning he was polite, customer oriented, and focused on serving our needs. During the search for our new home we had many trials in which we faced. From finding a lender, getting a fair interest rate, negotiating repairs for inspections, and the list goes on. However, as our agent he was there every step of the way to lift us up, provide needed encouragement, and make sure we were protected during some tough times. As our agent I believe his best characteristics are his work ethic, pro-activeness, honesty, and integrity. Which is something most buyer/seller agents don't have today. From our experience the majority only care about their money and their commission (we know because we went through multiple before finding Michael). However, if Michael Vanderkooy is your agent those are not things you have to worry about. He is not a liar, a cheat, or a agent that is only worried about his commission. Doing a good job, providing customer service, being thorough, and concise is something he takes very seriously. He is one of the most respectful people I have ever been around. Furthermore, it's our opinion that Century 21 has one of the best agents of East Tennessee in Michael Vanderkooy! As long as they have him as a agent they will have our business!

Michael was very accommodating and patient with us in all aspects of trying to find a home and up to closing. He always answered my questions very quickly and got to know us very well so that he could weed out our likes and dislikes of future homes. He also managed to take care of us and see homes when he was going through his own wedding to get married, talk about going above and beyond!! I could not say enough nice words about him and would definitely recommend him and his family to anyone trying to sell or purchase a home.
